Addmaya was approached by the Centre for Research in Transportation Technologies, Makerere University to develop a magazine that would capture the essence of Uganda’s first car while still showcasing it’s design and engineering creativity
The central idea of the magazine was a portable, informative and visually engaging booklet that would communicate the core attributes of the Kiira EV. At the core of the layout is a long-held childhood interest of Ugandan boys – their passion for making cars out of wires, rubber and disposed plastic or metallic pieces. This is captured at the beginning of every section with a 2 page spread photograph showing a stage in the wire-car process.

Through out the booklet, close, engaging and visually stunning imagery of the Kiira EV is used to portray the engineering masterpiece achieved. The Style, color and theme are carefully chosen to communicate key car attributes (green, locally developed, adaptive).
